This position is for Material Handler I - 1st Shift (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) with a company located in Horn Lake, Mississippi.
Summary: This Company leading manufacturer and distributor of office product solutions, has an opportunity available for a Material Handler I (First Shift) in our Distribution Center located in Horn Lake, MS.
Duties and Responsibilities Include: Ability to receive LPN receipts and put away. Receipt and put away parts, FG, and belts items. Maintain and move materials within division, plant or warehouse. Ability to operate material handling equipment. Load and unload freight in safe manner. Operative all material handling equipment including but not limited to forklifts, hand trucks, handheld scanners, and computer terminals. May charge forklift. May verify incoming material against accompanying documents to determine completeness and accuracy. Maintain inventory records in the computer system. May assemble, pack or pick materials and kit materials. Perform counting actives for physical inventory, cycle count, shipping or receiving accuracy. Ensure proper stock rotation. Move or remove materials to/from the appropriate storage area. Maintain clean, neat and orderly work areas, adhere to all safety rules and follow all established security procedures. Palletize/shrink wrap orders, pick orders and loading. LPN shipping process and verifying. Use the Kewill shipping system and Oracle WMS to track orders. Efficiently operate material handling equipment such as clamp trucks, hand trucks, handheld scanners and computer terminals. Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area while adhering to all safety rules and following established procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications Include: 0-1 years' experience. High School diploma, GED or equivalent. Experience in the material handling function preferred. Demonstrated ability to speak, read and write English. Proven ability to continuously lift to 50 lbs. Working knowledge of computerized warehouse systems. Demonstrated ability to operate a forklift.
