Daycare Cook / Bus Driver
The Sunshine House Early Learning Academy is seeking a Daycare Cook/ Bus Driver for our top-rated school in Hope Mills.
No nights! No weekends! Have fun and make a difference every day.
Pay range: $14-$16 per hour, based on experience, education and credentials.
Cook Responsibilities:
Prepares and distributes meals/snacks for children and staff according to guidelines and provided menus.
Follows daily menu that incorporates USDA, licensing and/or health department regulations.
Must be willing to work in the classroom to cover breaks.
Ensures safe food preparations and proper sanitation methods are used and maintains a safe kitchen/pantry area.
Maintains inventory of food and supplies.
Driver Responsibilities:
Safely transport children to/from area elementary schools and field trips in a small bus.
Ensure a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
Complete safety checks and drills.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
NCECC certificate preferred
Willingness to drive a 14-passenger minibus (no CDL required).
Must be at least 21 years old.
Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and work while standing.
Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
Previous experience as a teacher at a licensed childcare center required.
Work experience in cooking and/or food preparation for large group food service, preferably in a childcare center, preferred. ServSafe certification preferred.
