Job Description:
The role of the Warehouse Manager is to supervise the daily activities and to facilitate the smooth running of all the different activities in the warehouse and be responsible for the strategic operations of the warehouse
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this person will be responsible for successfully managing the warehouse Manager function.
To organize, employ, and supervise staff, ensure that daily workload is balanced throughout the employees.
Ensure that all daily activities are handled and executed according to expectations
Conduct meetings and trainings
Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning.
Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements to include Airfreight security (LBA), DGR, IATA etc.
Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies as necessary
Work within the branch network nationally and internationally to continually provide quality service to our clients
Ensure that systems are used as defined and updated with accurate, complete and timely information
Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
Measure and monitor the quality of services provided by the team
Implement CAPAs
Make sure that inventories for durable and consumable stock are on appropriate level
Ensure that CTUs are operational according to the set specifications
Organize maintenance of the warehouse equipment according to the legislation or/and internal SOP
Reading of temperature monitors and uploading of the temperature data in the Marken TMS
Assist in the dispatch and tendering of shipments to airlines as well as the recovery.
Identifying product keeping temperature and replenishment needs. Conditioning process for packaging
Timely order of packaging materials
Timely preparation of temperature-controlled packaging for shipments.
Prepare shipment papers in accordance with guidelines provided by the company
Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately
Keep warehouse clean and organized daily.
Control if all warehouse safety rules are always being complied with.
Cleaning, conditioning and proper documenting of packaging equipment and related components (cold packs, phase change materials…)
Responsible for reviewing appropriate documentation, labeling and markings as included with each shipment
Responsible for physically preparing the Next Flight Out shipments.
Responsible for performing other duties as required to help the Operations Team complete daily tasks
General
Implement company policies
Make sure that SOPs, CAPAs, investigations and trainings are handled in a way that they don’t become overdue
Ensure that employees are always compliant with their SOPs, CAPAs, investigations and trainings
Adhere to all company policies and procedures at all times
Ensuring that the Marken Quality System is implemented and maintained
Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in accordance to company policy
Ensuring the accuracy and quality of all records and documents
