Actalent Superintendent in Honolulu, Hawaii
Actalent is in search for (2) Superintendents who will be responsible for the on-site leadership, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects ranging from $500K to $30M. This role oversees daily field operations, ensures safety compliance, manages subcontractor performance, and drives projects toward successful completion in alignment with schedule, quality, and budget expectations.
Field Leadership & Execution
Manage all on-site construction activities and lead daily field operations.
Develop and execute short-interval schedules to maintain overall project timelines.
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and materials delivery.
Ensure work is completed to quality standards and complies with project plans, specifications, and building codes.
Safety Management
Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
Conduct daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, and site inspections.
Identify and mitigate potential hazards to protect workers and the public.
Communication & Coordination
Act as the primary on-site point of contact for project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and stakeholders.
Participate in OAC, coordination, and subcontractor meetings.
Provide clear daily communication regarding project progress, issues, and needs.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain daily reports, progress photos, manpower logs, and documentation.
Support RFI, submittal, and change management processes.
Ensure project site complies with environmental, regulatory, and permitting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of commercial construction experience in a superintendent or assistant superintendent role.
Experience with project sizes ranging from $500K to $30M.
Strong knowledge of building systems, sequencing, and trade coordination.
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical documents.
Proficiency with construction management software and digital tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ground-up, tenant improvement, healthcare, hospitality, or mixed-use commercial projects.
Familiarity with local subcontractor market and permitting processes.
Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or similar.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00/yr.
