Actalent Sr. Civil Cad Designer in Honolulu, Hawaii
Job Description
In the role of Senior Civil CAD Designer, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams using AutoCAD Civil 3D. Your work will support facilities such as transfer stations, recycling centers, and landfills, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to prepare detailed drawings, layouts, and diagrams.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of civil engineering design, including site grading and drainage.
Work independently within a specific discipline, with minimal direction from Engineers or other technical professionals.
Manage your discipline’s BIM model and generate high-quality elements aligned with the Level of Development (LOD) and project scope.
Utilize advanced design software to produce accurate and efficient drawings and figures.
Model BIM elements accurately within spatial constraints using current 3D software, ensuring compliance and constructability.
Produce clear, well-annotated documentation to enhance communication across teams and support permitting and construction phases.
Coordinate with other disciplines through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes while upholding company standards.
Essential Skills
Technical degree or a combination of education and related industry experience.
Minimum of 5 years of related industry experience.
Advanced skillset in 3D design software and document management infrastructure.
Advanced skillset in 3D Coordination tools.
Competency in Microsoft Office products and communication tools.
Advanced understanding of engineering or architectural concepts.
Knowledge of industry standards and practices, as well as discipline codes and specifications.
Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge and experience using Revit to prepare architectural design drawings.
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and design principles.
Strong writing skills.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
