Hawaii Pacific Health Physician - Hospitalists - Part Time in Honolulu, Hawaii
About the Opportunity
Hawai‘i Pacific Health is seeking a highly motivated and Board Certified or Board Eligible Part Time Hospitalist to join our collaborative group that provides comprehensive inpatient care for the islands of Hawaii.
What You’ll Do:
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care for adult patients admitted with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Perform thorough patient evaluations , including history taking, physical examinations, diagnostic assessment, and development of evidence‑based treatment plans.
Manage admissions, daily rounding, cross‑coverage, and discharges while ensuring clear communication with patients, families, and care teams.
Coordinate care for medically complex patients in collaboration with consulting services, including subspecialists, nursing, pharmacy, and case management.
Respond to acute clinical changes and emergencies , including rapid response and code situations, working closely with emergency medicine, ICU, and specialty teams.
Facilitate smooth transitions of care through timely discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and communication with primary care and post‑acute providers.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, clinical pathway development, and adoption of evidence‑based best practices within hospital medicine.
Contribute to a supportive teaching environment as applicable, including collaboration with advanced practice providers, residents, and medical staff.

Qualifications:
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
Eligible to obtain a medical license in the State of Hawaii
