Salary: $130,000 annually

What’s a typical day as Assistant Controller? You’ll be:
Providing management, leadership, and direction for the accounting staff, reporting directly to the Corporate Controller
Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including AP/AR/cash processes
Developing, documenting, and implementing standard operating procedures
Maintaining accuracy and completeness of the general ledger
Leading the quarterly close process, including review of entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP
Preparing financial schedules for audits, reviews, and tax filings
Identifying and implementing efficiency and productivity improvements
Covering responsibilities of other assistant controllers as needed
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
Hold a B.A. or B.S. in business, finance, or accounting (CPA preferred)
Have 10+ years of accounting experience, with leadership responsibilities
Possess thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and internal controls
Demonstrate experience with the financial closing process and financial statement preparation
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Have advanced Excel skills (Great Plains experience is a plus)
Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and communicate effectively across departments
