Robert Half Accountant in Honolulu, Hawaii

Description

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Honolulu, Hawaii, on a Contract to permanent position. In this role, you will play a key part in managing financial operations and ensuring accuracy in reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Responsibilities:

• Accurately record daily financial transactions, including assets, liabilities, profits, losses, and tax obligations.

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger on a regular basis to ensure data accuracy.

• Review financial data and assist in preparing periodic financial statements and management reports.

• Conduct analyses of financial information to support budgeting, auditing, and compliance initiatives.

• Interpret complex financial data and deliver insights to leadership when required.

• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper handling of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

• Manage journal entries and property accounting tasks with precision.

• Collaborate with team members to complete financial projects and meet organizational objectives.

• Utilize accounting software and tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Provide additional support on financial tasks and projects as assigned by management.

Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.

• Minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience.

• Proficiency in accounts payable, general ledger, accounts receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

• Familiarity with property accounting principles and practices.

• Experience working in a shared services or centralized accounting environment is a plus.

• Excellent analytical and organizational skills to manage financial data effectively.

• Strong communication abilities for interacting with team members and stakeholders.
