Overview – Equities Electronic Trading
This role supports the Equities Electronic Trading business in Asia, with a strong focus on quantitative, systematic, and high‑frequency trading (HFT) clients. The position plays a critical role in delivering a robust, globally consistent electronic trading framework that aligns with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and evolving market structures.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Equities Electronic Trading business in delivering a robust, scalable, and globally consistent electronic trading framework, ensuring compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and market best practices.
Act as a key partner in electronic trading change management, working closely with Technology, Quantitative Research, Compliance, Risk, and Control functions.
Evaluate, analyse, and communicate execution performance, providing detailed execution consultancy to Sales, Trading desks, and quantitative/HFT clients.
Engage directly with quantitative and HFT clients to understand trading strategies, latency sensitivity, liquidity access requirements, and execution objectives.
Partner with Business Supervisors, Technology, and Control teams to design, implement, and enhance electronic trading controls, alerts, and monitoring frameworks.
Re‑engineer processes to ensure best‑in‑class electronic trading controls, consistent application across regions, and effective risk mitigation.
Support electronic trading governance, issue remediation, and audit processes across the Equities platform.
Stay abreast of equities market structure, exchange microstructure, regulatory developments, and electronic trading innovations, particularly those impacting systematic and high‑speed trading strategies.
