What the day will look like
The role is to work within Aon Re Greater China Retro Team to support the revenue growth strategies for Retro business in Greater China and Asia.
Support the formation and execution of growth strategies for retro business in Greater China and APAC
Support the delivery of service to our Greater China retro clients, including but not limited to providing traditional broking services and alternative solutions, working on RFP, renewal proposals and client reports on specific topics and research projects, as well as working with Analytics team to carry out portfolio analysis and desk quoting
Plan and execute inward business strategies for our clients
Support the execution of marketing strategy and manage client and reinsurer database
Support the execution of APAC regional initiatives in conjunction with APAC and London retro teams
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Education & Certification
University degree with Quantitative background, Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Computing Science or Physics preferred but not necessary
Experience
5 years’ experience or longer in the reinsurance industry preferrable, underwriting, broking or actuarial service experience is strongly preferred
Work experience in Chinese state-owned companies or mastery of a good understanding of Chinese SOE’s culture is preferred
Quantitative and qualitative analytical skills including basic knowledge of Cat Modelling and pricing are required, experience in underwriting or pricing is preferred
Proficient in writing and presenting in Chinese of client and research reports
Experience in conducting research projects is preferred

A good team player, committed, reliable and resilient
Strong communication and presentation skills in both Chinese and English
Strong time management skills and can work under time pressure
Strong IT skills, programming skills are preferred
Fluent in Chinese and English (both spoken and written) is required
