Citi’s Banking franchise is organized around three lines of business: Investment Banking, Corporate Banking and Commercial Banking. The unified Banking and International organization oversees the local delivery of the full firm to clients in each of the 95 markets where Citi has an on-the-ground presence.
Citi Corporate Bank serves as the conduit of Citi’s full product suite to clients through holistically managed relationships across our unparalleled network.
The Banker will be part of the Financial Institution team of Hong Kong Corporate Banking. This is a senior-level position responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of financial institutions client relationships, by identifying customer needs and deploy resources across Citi’s platforms and network to address those needs. The role is also responsible for managing all credit, risk and control aspect of the relationships. He / she is required to work closely with partners in banking, products, risk and control, as well as with colleagues across Citi’s global network to deliver best-in-class solutions and services to our clients and our colleagues. The Banker is expected to act as trusted advisor to our clients by delivering thought leadership and strategic content.
Responsibilities:
Expand a portfolio of financial institutions clients with varying / complex financial and servicing needs with the objective of driving revenue growth and enhancing returns while maintaining sound risk and control in line with Citi’s standards, policies and procedures
Cross sell various products and solutions across Citi platform, including Banking (loans, capital markets and other funding solutions), Markets (FX, rates, credits, commodities, multi-assets and structured solutions), Treasury and Trade Solutions, Investor Services and others
Cultivate senior client relationships at C-Suite level
Drive digital / tech value propositions in banking services with clients
Manage all credit aspects of the relationships including annual reviews, transaction execution, early problem recognition, and remedial management
Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citi, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policies, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency
Foster strong team and partnership culture via close engagement with department teams, senior management, partners in products, risk and control, and colleagues across the global Citi network
Support department initiatives including talent development, process enhancement, new policy / procedure rollouts and others
Qualifications:
15+ years of relevant experience
Demonstrated leadership, organizational, negotiation, presentation, client-relationship building, analytical and credit skills
Experience with financial institutions clients and the relevant product suites
Ability to manage and work across a diverse and multi-country matrix structure
Education:
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Master's degree preferred
