What the day will look like

  • Lead deep-dive claims utilization analysis to identify cost drivers, high-usage benefits and underutilized services

  • Provide fair value analysis (FVA) and benchmarking to support plan design and cost containment strategies

  • Deliver regular claims reporting, trend analysis and predictive modeling to support renewal negotiations and budgeting

  • Serve as strategic advisor to CRMs in translating analytics into actionable insights for clients

  • Present claims findings during renewal presentation and client strategy sessions to support decision making and demonstrate value

  • Support the sales process by providing analytics-driven value propositions and participating in client presentations

    How this opportunity is different

    The Analytics Director is responsible for developing and delivering analytics solutions using medical claims, health & wellness data to deliver actionable insights that drive client decision-making. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting medium and large clients in designing innovative, data-driven benefits plans that address specific client objectives and employee needs. The consultant will advise organizations on funding and risk mitigation strategies. This position requires data-driven approach and strong client management skills.

    Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Diploma/Degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field

  • Seasoned experience in claims analytics, medical insurance plan pricing in health insurance or employee benefits

  • Computer Skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning and data visualization tools (Power BI)

  • Communication skill in English (both written & oral), Cantonese and Mandarin

  • Proven client relationship capabilities dealing with large clients with complex needs

  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and public relations skills – able to communicate effectively across organisational levels

  • Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders internally and externally
