What the day will look like
Lead deep-dive claims utilization analysis to identify cost drivers, high-usage benefits and underutilized services
Provide fair value analysis (FVA) and benchmarking to support plan design and cost containment strategies
Deliver regular claims reporting, trend analysis and predictive modeling to support renewal negotiations and budgeting
Serve as strategic advisor to CRMs in translating analytics into actionable insights for clients
Present claims findings during renewal presentation and client strategy sessions to support decision making and demonstrate value
Support the sales process by providing analytics-driven value propositions and participating in client presentations
How this opportunity is different
The Analytics Director is responsible for developing and delivering analytics solutions using medical claims, health & wellness data to deliver actionable insights that drive client decision-making. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting medium and large clients in designing innovative, data-driven benefits plans that address specific client objectives and employee needs. The consultant will advise organizations on funding and risk mitigation strategies. This position requires data-driven approach and strong client management skills.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Diploma/Degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science or related field
Seasoned experience in claims analytics, medical insurance plan pricing in health insurance or employee benefits
Computer Skills (especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning and data visualization tools (Power BI)
Communication skill in English (both written & oral), Cantonese and Mandarin
Proven client relationship capabilities dealing with large clients with complex needs
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and public relations skills – able to communicate effectively across organisational levels
Ability to manage and influence key stakeholders internally and externally
