Insight Global REMOTE- Lead Security Engineer in Homewood, Alabama
Job Description
An employer is looking for a Lead Security Engineer to sit remotely. You will primarily be tasked with leading the enterprise’s security engineering efforts including strategy, architecture, best practices, etc. Initially, you will evaluate the current security landscape and determine any immediately items that need to be addressed. From there, you will architect/ engineer the future state for the security space to meet the needs of the business and algin with best practices. Currently the team has multiple junior team members and this role would act as an escalation point for the team, supporting any higher level issues. You will assist the CISO with scaling the security engineering org, evaluating new security tools/ technologies and lead the security strategy. You will cover a wide variety of cyber security areas and assist with leveling up the enterprise. Additional tasks will include IAM optimization, identify any immediate gaps in the current landscape, and help with maturing the overall security portfolio.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years experience in cyber security engineering
Strong experience across the security landscape- Cloud security, application security, infrastructure security, etc.
Experience with CrowdStrike and similar security tools
Well versed in security architecture and best practices
Scripting skills (Python, Powershell)
Strong Cloud security background (AWS, Azure)
Experience leveraging AI tooling in the security space
Knowledgeable around IAM and incident management Start up experience
Healthcare or veterinarian industry experience
