Compensation: $16.97 - $19.12 per hour, depending on verification of experience and qualifications.

Position Purpose: As a Landscaper, you will maintain all grounds by cutting the grass, pruning and planting trees and bushes, removing snow and other related tasks. Adjusts and repairs grounds equipment including lawn mowers, sprinklers, shears, and the like, using small hand tools. Also helps with any light maintenance work or housekeeping duties.
What you will do:
Cultivates soil, plants, waters, weeds, edges, and trims lawns, flowerbeds, shrubs and trees.
Rakes, collects, disposes of leaves and refuse from facility grounds. Clears storm drains and traps of debris.
Removes snow from sidewalks, parking lots, and entrances with the use of shovels, snow blowers and small front-loading tractors; spreads salt and/or gravel to prevent slipping.
Operates large riding mowers, push mowers, tillers, riding sweepers, edger’s and other light yard equipment. Performs routine maintenance and minor repairs including fueling, lubricating and cleaning machinery.
Repairs parking lots by filling cracks or holes with gravel or asphalt as appropriate.
Applies weed control chemicals, by use of sprayer, as directed and adhering to necessary safety precautions.
Picks up trash on property and such.
Minimum Qualifications:
Work requires a high school level of educational development, and 6-12 months of previous work-related experience plus three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.
No certification, registration, or licensure required.
Work requires the ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions.
Occasionally requires contact with clients and/or visitors, which involves ordinary courtesy.
Physical, Mental, and Visual Requirements:
Work requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds daily.
Work requires carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds daily
Work requires stooping and bending.
Work requires ability to reach and grasp objects.
Work requires pushing or pulling supply carts, etc. daily
Working Conditions:
Requires working with equipment or performing procedures where carelessness would probably result in minor cuts, bruises or muscle pulls.
Requires working in close proximity to high voltage electrical current and/or moving machinery, or with power tools and equipment (table saws, drills, etc.), which requires caution and use of established safety guidelines, and equipment
