Job Description
The Customer Service Representative will join a dynamic team in an office setting, providing front-line support to internal and external customers. This role requires strong computer skills, exceptional customer service, and the ability to think critically and solve problems in real time. The position involves handling a variety of customer interactions via phone, email, and in person, as well as collaborating with warehouse staff and forklift drivers to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Receive and manage incoming calls, emails, mail, and small parcel packages, directing them to the appropriate staff or department as needed.
Provide courteous and professional customer service to internal and external customers, addressing inquiries, issues, and requests promptly.
Perform accurate order entry and data entry tasks to support customer orders and service requests.
Support inbound call center activities by answering calls, gathering relevant information, and resolving or escalating issues as appropriate.
Welcome and greet visitors in a professional manner and promptly notify the appropriate staff of their arrival.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming entryway and conference rooms, ensuring they are supplied and presentable as needed.
Collaborate with warehouse staff and forklift drivers to coordinate information, resolve issues, and support efficient operations.
Use Excel and other computer applications to track information, update records, and support reporting or administrative needs.
Think quickly and use critical thinking skills to resolve customer concerns and unexpected issues as they arise.
Multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment, balancing phone calls, in-person interactions, and administrative tasks.
Essential Skills
Proven customer service experience with a focus on delivering high levels of customer satisfaction.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency with data entry and basic office software.
Experience with order entry and handling customer orders accurately and efficiently.
Ability to handle inbound calls in a call center or similar environment.
Solid Excel skills to input, organize, and manage data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, visitors, and team members.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to resolve customer issues and operational challenges.
Effective multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
Comfort interacting with both office and plant personnel, including warehouse staff and forklift drivers.
Professional and welcoming demeanor when greeting and assisting visitors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a front desk, reception, or administrative support role.
Background in customer support or service within a call center, office, or distribution environment.
Ability to maintain a clean and organized reception and meeting area.
Strong attention to detail when handling mail, packages, and visitor coordination.
Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position in an office setting, located in the front administrative area to greet and assist visitors. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The work involves frequent interaction with walk-in visitors, office staff, and plant personnel, including warehouse staff and forklift drivers. The environment is professional and customer-facing, with an emphasis on maintaining a tidy and welcoming reception and conference area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holmen, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
