Position Summary
Essential Functions
Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management)
Participate in and support kaizen events and improvement workshops
Help identify and eliminate waste (motion, waiting, defects, overproduction, etc.)
Maintain 5S standards and conduct regular audits
Assist in data collection and tracking of key performance indicators (KPIs)
Help update and maintain visual boards, Team Improvement Boards, and daily management systems
Support problem-solving activities using basic Lean tools (A3s, root cause analysis, PDCA)
Train operators on Lean tools and new standard processes
Work closely with production teams to support safety and quality improvements
Assist in sustaining improvements after implementation
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
Ability to work on the shop floor in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Basic computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Lean certification (Yellow Belt or equivalent)
Experience with Kaizen events or continuous improvement projects
Familiarity and experience with creating/updating visual management and daily management systems
Experience in safety, quality, or production support roles
