Ralliant Program Master Scheduler in Hollister, California
The Master Scheduler is part of a team that creates and maintains complex detailed program plans and schedules Integrated Master Plans (IMPs), and Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) that guide program execution and serve as the baseline against which performance is measured. Working closely with Program Managers and cross-functional team members in engaging with team members as needed. In partnership with the Program Finance Manager, the Master Scheduler communicates program status and performance (schedule and cost) to the program team as well as makes forecasts about future performance.
Responsibilities
Horizontal and vertical integration of program plans and schedules across company functional groups including finance, engineering, procurement, operations, manufacturing, and quality
This position develops, validates, and maintains schedules on assigned projects/programs; provides resource management, schedule process/procedure development and maintenance for PMO activities; assists in the oversight of desktop metric schedules and the development of associated reports; and is a member of the Program Team providing project schedule oversight, analysis and reporting
Supports configuration of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and IPT assignment during development. Works to ensure that schedule will meet Responsibility Assignment Matrix requirements for control account summary and detail planning of activities.
Updates Contract WBS Dictionary when applicable.
Develops and maintains Program Master Schedule for post-award activities.
Updates and maintains project schedule required fields as defined by company Field Definition table.
Maintains and modifies baseline through Baseline Change Review (BCR) process.
Performs schedule health metrics to analyze schedule quality, produce metrics, and resolve problems.
Provides Schedule Analysis Reports: Critical path, Top Level, Resource Management, Milestones, and Slack Trend Reports.
Ensures management understanding of network logic, Gantt, pert, milestone lists, and resource information in the schedule.
Assists and performs validation as assigned on schedules to meet DCMA-14-point criteria, defined field configurations, CDRL/SDRL and earned value requirements.
Provides guidance and instruction to the program teams to improve performance.
Establishes schedule development calendar of events on assigned projects for management of status, report generation, deliveries and IMS archival.
Provides technical support of work package breakdown across programs and provides oversight on PMT assignments.
Supports Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR), and Schedule Resource Analysis (SRA) reviews as required.
Provides schedule training to department coworkers, functional organizations and program teams.
Develops and maintains Earned Value analyses and reports. Assists PM and Finance with analysis and corrective action of Earned Value data.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's degree and 4 years of experience or equivalent experience. Work experience is considered in lieu of education.
Extensive experience working with MS Project and integrating multiple resource loaded schedules into a single master schedule
Ability to assemble and present data and multi-faceted matters in a meaningful way to stakeholders outside of the Master Planning & Scheduling team
Functional management ability including managing expectations with internal and external customers and stakeholders
Willingness to challenge and improve knowledge of industry practices and standards as well as company policies
Clearly communicating issues and resolutions to project management in both written and verbal means
Preparing presentations for senior management containing metrics and explanations of data
Collaborating with functions (especially Engineering, Procurement and Operations) to understand and capture how and when scope will be performed
Developing relationships with schedule stakeholders including internal and external customers
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with program schedule forecasting and analysis, particularly in a US Defense of Defense (DoD) program environment
Desire to expand breadth of professional comfort and competence
PMI-SP (Project Management Institute – Scheduling Professional) Certification or PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Bonus or Equity
This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay Range
The salary range for this position (in local currency) is 124,000 -230,280.
