Pay Rate: $21/hr
Location: Holland, MI 49424
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Employment Type: Contract | 5–6 months
What You’ll Do
Follow all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine materials to move or distribute
Convey materials from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations
Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins by size, type, style, color, or product code
Fill requisitions and distribute stock items to production areas
Assemble customer orders from stock and place completed orders on pallets
Mark materials with identifying information
Open bales, crates, and other containers
Record quantities of materials received or distributed and weigh/count items to ensure accuracy
Enter and maintain records using a computer system
Operate manual and automated material handling equipment
Drive material handling equipment to transport stored items
Load and unload trailers containing palletized and non-palletized products
Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety and hygiene procedures
Support division performance goals and contribute to overall operational results
Meet internal and external customer needs and expectations
Perform additional duties as required
What You Bring
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and management
Ability to read and interpret warehouse computer software
Preferred: 5–10 years of relevant work experience
Physical ability to:
Sit, stand, hear, and see constantly
Walk, write, and type frequently
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally
Climb and descend stairs
Bend, reach, push, and pull frequently
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures (0–120°F)
Comfortable working in areas with noise, dust, and on concrete surfaces
Operate a computer and communicate via telephone
Ability to travel occasionally to other locations, meetings, or seminars
