This role offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing advanced technical support for the installation, troubleshooting, and improvement of automated and electronic equipment.
The Automation Technician will work independently on complex projects involving mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, robotic systems, while supporting continuous improvement and preventive maintenance efforts.
- The role provides an excellent opportunity for maintenance technicians to enhance their skills in PLC and robotic troubleshooting within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical, mechanical, and robotic systems.
Support new equipment launches and retrofits.
Perform and improve preventive maintenance using CMMS software.
Respond quickly to production issues to minimize downtime.
Essential Skills
Experience working in manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Preventative maintenance on machines
"Nice to have" Skills & Qualifications
Experience with hydraulics, automation, and pneumatics.
PLC troubleshooting
Knowledge of electronics and schematic repair.
Work Environment
The position is based in an automotive manufacturing setting, working 45-55 hours per week
- 2nd shift (3 pm - 11 pm), Monday - Friday
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
