60 temporary full-time Carnival Workers from 4/1/26 -- 10/17/26.

Perform a variety of attending duties at amusement or recreation facility. Sell and collect tickets/fees, assist patrons, operate/attend amusement booths, rides, and games, sell and prepare food. Elephant ear dough is made by combining flour, yeast, and sugar in a commercial mixer; all other items are pre-frozen and pre-packaged that are cooked/heated, and assembled such as corn dogs, hot dogs, sausages. Using proper safety precautions and sanitary measures operate large-volume cooking equipment, such as grills, deep-fat fryers, griddles or hot plates. Following simple specified instructions: Set up-and take down the booth, this consists of opening the awnings and closing them. No tools are needed. Replenish food, paper products, or prizes as needed. Using basic cleaning supplies and following proper safety precautions and sanitary measures ensure all items are cleaned and stored in a specified safe manner for transportation. Check for any food service equipment not working properly and report to maintenance personnel for repair or replacement. For example, watch for damage to electrical cords and report issues as needed. Assist patrons in getting into rides, inform patron to fasten belt, bar, or other safety device. Ensure safety at all times. Operate the control console to start and stop the ride. Attend games by explaining the rules of the games, assist in playing the games (such as handing a patron a ball to throw or ring to toss), retrieving and providing prizes for winners at games.

Hours, schedule and days vary -- Sample shift time: 12pm-9pm, 1-hour unpaid break); 40 hrs./wk., extra hours may be required or available, may include weekends and holidays. Work needs (i.e., hours, days, schedule, location, and work positions) vary. Work needs subject to industry practice and are not guaranteed per day, per week, per schedule, per location, or per worker, e.g., rainouts, brief periods without scheduled events, event dates and hours set by agreement with sponsor and subject to change (based upon adverse weather, hours of operation, day of the week, attendance, size of the event, school schedules, amount of equipment in operation, staffing, etc.), and unforeseen cancellations. In the event of approved, overlapping events, work needs may cause workers to be adjusted.

Pay varies based on location of each worksite, $12.49 - $15.91 per hour. No overtime is expected, but if work necessitating OT occurs, it will be paid in accordance with applicable Federal, State, and Local laws.

In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to their employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business."

Employer reserves the option to provide additional compensation for performance and tenure or may increase wages based on changes in market conditions. Bonus pay for extra effort or great work performed at the discretion of employer. Pay received weekly, single workweek used for computing wages. No experience or education required. On the job training provided.

Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform job.

Daily Travel required and provided to work in Allegan, Berrien, Calhoun, Cheboygan, Chippewa, Delta, Houghton, Ingham, Kent, Kalamazoo, Livingston, Monroe, Oakland, Ottawa, St. Joseph, Van Buren, Washtenaw, and Wayne Counties, MI; LaGrange, Vanderburgh, and LaPorte Counties, IN; Ramsey County, MN.
