Job Purpose
Assisting in the Day Care Center to provide time and attention to the well-being of the children. ranging from infants to preschool
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervises children at all times
- Assist with group game, activities, and lessons.
- Assist with meal/snack preparation
- Assist with clean-up
- Other duties as may be assigned.
- Maintain required DHS logs (diaper changing logs and parent reports) (SR)
- Assists in supervising Early Childhood Development students from HHS; gives grading input to director;
- Communicates needs of the child to the parent as needed and as assisted by the director.

Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalency diploma
- Two years experience in providing childcare or related experience in licensed facility.
- Minimum of 18 years old. (State Requirement)
- Current fingerprint clearance card. (State Requirement)
- 18 hours of continuing education in early childhood education yearly. (State Requirement)
- Maintain current First Aid/CPR certification. (State Requirement)
- Maintain safe, healthy environment for children. (State Requirement)
Evaluations
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Boards policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Work Environment
Inside: Offices, School Buildings.
Outside: Outdoor Facilities.
Indoor/Outdoor: Travel from location to location.
Occasional Travel: For required training or professional development (In district, out of district, in state, and/or out of state).
Possibly exposed to extremes of temperature. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.
Physical Requirements
The position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, speaking, turning, grasping and carrying items over 40 lbs.
