Job Purpose

Sets up and serves meals in acafeteria.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Puts away food and supplies that is delivered daily from central kitchen
  • May prepare cash registers for scanning meal tickets and collecting cash. May tally and balance register after meal times, collects all meal counts
  • Prepares short order foods for daily breakfast and/or lunch
  • Prepares fresh fruit and vegetable bar daily
  • Serves student meals
  • Cleans counters, Fresh Fruits and Vegetable bar, cleans dishes and all equipment; as well as sweeps and mops floor.
  • Secures kitchen before leaving

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.\ No previous experience.\ Food Handler\'s certificate.\ Safety and sanitation knowledge

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board\'s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Basic:Email, Time Clock, Log in to basic software programs

Work Environment

Inside: Offices, School Buildings.

Outside: Outdoor Facilities.

Indoor/Outdoor: Travel from location to location.

Occasional Travel: For required training or professional development (In district, out of district, in state, and/or out of state).

Possibly exposed to extremes of temperature. Occasionally subjected to extreme noise, odors, mists, dust and poor ventilation.

Physical Requirements

The position requires frequent lifting, bending, stooping, pulling, speaking, turning, grasping and carrying items over 40 lbs.
