CNC Swiss Machinist
Job Description
Join our dynamic team in the production area where you will operate advanced machinery, including 18 Star CNC Swiss SR-32J machines and 6 Cincinnati centerless grinders. This role offers hands-on experience in operating CNC Swiss lathes, Cincinnati grinding machines, and performing deburring tasks. You will work closely with the lead to process parts and ensure precision through inspection using blueprints, micrometers, and calipers.
Responsibilities
Operate CNC Swiss lathes and Cincinnati grinding machines.
Perform deburring tasks to ensure part quality.
Collaborate with the lead to run parts through the machine.
Inspect materials using micrometers and calipers to verify accuracy against blueprints.
Ensure parts meet quality standards through precise measurements.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 2 years experience in a machinist or machine shop setting.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using micrometers and calipers.
Ability to lift up to 20lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CNC Star Swiss machines is a plus.
Ability to set up on Fanuc controllers.
Deburring and grinding experience is advantageous.
1-3 years of CNC Swiss experience preferred.
Familiarity with G&M codes on Fanuc controllers.

Work Environment
Located in Addison, IL, our machine shop specializes in precision custom parts for diverse industries including aerospace, agricultural equipment, and automotive. Our shop operates from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunities available on Saturdays. Employees can expect to work 50-60 hours a week. We are committed to maintaining a modern and well-equipped facility, continually upgrading our machinery to ensure we meet client demands.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hodgkins, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $25.00/hr.
