Job Description Summary
A Senior CT Image Quality / Application Development Engineer leads the design and development of state‑of‑the‑art CT image quality, image reconstruction algorithms, and CT clinical applications.
In this role, you will work closely with global expert teams to develop advanced CT imaging solutions using cutting‑edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL). You will collaborate closely with multifunctional teams, such as CT system engineering, software engineering, and clinical application specialists, to drive the creation of innovative and effective solutions.
Furthermore, the Senior CT Image Quality / Application Development Engineer will have a deep understanding of how key components such as X‑ray tubes, high‑voltage generators, and detectors influence CT image quality, and will lead efforts to achieve optimal clinical image performance. Ensuring the quality of products installed at customer sites is also a key responsibility. This includes working with field service teams to investigate and resolve system issues, as well as providing technical support to customer‑facing teams across various regions.
This position also requires knowledge of quality management systems, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Essential Responsibilities:
GE HealthCare develops industry-leading X-ray clinical CT technologies and innovations that deliver applications and imaging capabilities enabling physicians and radiologists to enhance the level of patient care. As a Senior CT Image Quality / Application Development Engineer, you will be part of the innovative technical team that drives these advancements across the industry. You will report directly to the CT Systems Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Technology Exploration: Partner with global experts to investigate and apply advanced CT and imaging technologies. Utilize broad technical expertise and experience to help resolve complex design issues in current products.
Solution Development: Lead the development of novel CT image-quality improvements and enhancements by collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration of various technological components within new product development programs.
Expertise Utilization: Leverage your extensive knowledge in CT imaging, clinical applications, AI/DL, and software development to address complex technical challenges and develop new solutions.
Quality and Compliance: Ensure that all solutions adhere to Quality Management Systems, Risk Management protocols, and regulatory compliance standards.
Technical Leadership: Provide domain expertise to lead technical design reviews, investigate technical risks, and propose innovative solutions to achieve optimal system performance.
Requirement Definition: Drive the definition of CT image quality and application requirements, subsystem/system integration, verification activities, and risk management throughout product development programs.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Image processing and signal processing: Product development experiences with image processing and signal processing
AI and Deep Learning: Understanding of AI and DL technologies as applied to medical imaging.
Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with Quality Management Systems, Risk Management processes, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Effective Communication Skills: Ability to present ideas clearly and concisely, with business-level English proficiency.
Collaboration and Leadership:
Multi-functional Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with systems engineers, software developers, and clinical application specialists to ensure cohesive solution development.
Global Collaboration: Experience working effectively in global, matrixed, and customer-focused environments.
Task Completion and Problem Solving: Demonstrated ability to drive tasks to completion, solve problems proactively, and maintain a results-oriented mindset within collaborative and matrixed teams.
This role demands a blend of technical expertise, innovative thinking, and strong collaborative skills to drive the development of state-of-the-art CT image quality / applications enhancement solutions.
