Bilfinger UK are looking for General Operatives to start on Hinkley Point C to support the Welding team
Immediate start available pending clearence
Permanent position
10/4 rotation
10 hour days
Experience
Specifically been a Mechanical mate / Assisting Pipefitter and welders/Welder/Fitters mate
Ideally Experience in setting up of welding equipme
Setting up MMA,TIG and MIG weld sets in all area’s
Running Argon Hose from banks to the job.
Assisting the welder in making dams and setting purge’s for stainless steel butts.
Making up Argon hose’s.
Setting up Regulators and Flow meters.
Setting up 110v and 415v power cables.
Turning off Argon banks at the end of the shift.
Fire watch duties when needed.
Sheeting out habitats for the welder’s
Getting Propane bottles to the job and make sure they are locked in the cage at the end of the shift.
Setting up LEVS for each weld.
Checking that all equipment is PAT tested and Calibrated.
Identifying to the supervisor when Equipment/Gas/ is running low.

Working Safely with Hand and power tools
Manual Handling
Working at height
Fire watcher
Abrasive wheels
