Job Description: Behavior Technician (Applied Behavior Analysis)
Position Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Behavior Technician to join our team and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral challenges. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Behavioral Technician implements individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment plans to help clients build functional skills, reduce challenging behaviors, and improve quality of life
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 direct ABA therapy to clients in home, clinic, school, and/or community settings.
- Implement treatment plans, skill acquisition programs, and behavior intervention strategies as developed by the BCBA
- Collect accurate, real-time data on client progress and behavior during each session
- Assist in generalizing skills across environments and caregivers
- Follow ethical and professional guidelines in all client interactions
- Maintain consistent communication with the supervising BCBA and provide session updates
- Participate in training sessions, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
Support families and caregivers in understanding and implementing ABA strategies when appropriate
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required), associate's or bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or a related field preferred
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain within 2 months of hire
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities is strongly preferred
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to follow clinical instructions and protocols with fidelity
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client locations
Physical & Work Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and engaging in play-based activities
