Analyze user requirements, procedures, processes, identify problems and evaluate alternative solutions automate or improve existing systems. Work with the clients, stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements for the new IT systems to be developed. Review the existing computer systems and procedures in the organization and design solutions to make them more efficient and effective. Develop software applications, create complex databases. Oversee the installation and configuration of new systems or commercially available software to customize them for the organization. Conduct testing to ensure that the systems work as expected.
