Davis Tool has an immediate opening for an aerospace assembler. The successful candidate will have experience translating customer specifications and assembly drawings into complex and high-detail mechanical and electrical assemblies. Qualified applicants will have experience working within stringent customer and AS9100 specifications. This is an experienced-level position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Expertise understanding and interpreting stringent customer specifications and industry standards.
Demonstrated experience building complex or high-detail assemblies.
Drilling, reaming, honing and match-drilling to precise hole sizes.
Using arbor press and hydraulic press to shrink-fit install bearings, bushings and other components.
Sealant application and precise sealant mixture by weight or volume ratio.
Interpret customer specifications to implement requirements for the installation of aerospace rivets, crimps, bolts or custom hardware.
Use of precision inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, torque testers, mega-ohmmeters, and height gauges.
Pass and maintain yearly internal aerospace certifications.
Familiarity with controlled material traceability and limited-life material requirements.

Preferred but not required:
FAA Airframe and/or Power-plant certification.
