Job Title: General Production Worker, START ASAP
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling and packaging electronic products in a calm, quiet production environment. You will follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions to build high-quality assemblies, support production schedules, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining safety and cleanliness standards.
Responsibilities
Read work orders, drawings, sample assemblies, and verbal instructions to accurately assemble products.
Assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions.
Execute assembly builds in a timely manner in line with the production schedule.
Work at a bench or on the shop floor to assemble electronic assemblies.
Collect parts from inventory as needed to complete assigned work.
Receive and follow verbal instructions regarding order priorities.
Set up daily work according to the production schedule or verbal instructions.
Use hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches, to complete assemblies.
Work at different workstations and cross-train to support other departments as required.
Package finished products according to boxing and work instructions or verbal directions.
Label all products and assemblies accurately and complete associated paperwork.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and participate in maintaining the overall facility.
Adhere to all safety and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection standards.
Perform testing on a variety of custom electronic products.
Participate in product assembly training sessions, team activities, SQCDMM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support the company’s vision, mission, strategy, and values in daily work.
Essential Skills
At least 1 year of assembly experience.
At least 1 year of production experience.
Hands-on experience with general assembly work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Experience using hand tools, including torque-controlled electric drills and wrenches.
Ability to read and follow work orders, drawings, and verbal instructions.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
Capability to operate production or assembly machinery as needed.
Willingness to cross-train and work at different workstations.
Ability to perform basic testing on electronic products.
Commitment to following safety and ESD protection standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with machine operation or machine operating in a production environment.
Familiarity with SMT (surface-mount technology) machines.
Comfort working with various hand tools in an assembly setting.
Strong attention to detail for labeling, documentation, and quality checks.
Willingness to participate in training sessions, team activities, and continuous improvement programs such as SQCDMM.
Ability to stay focused and productive in a quiet, calm work setting.

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $22.00/hr.
