Job Description
Position Purpose
Perform data entry of information to maintain database(s) through client specified software’s and locations. Responsible for accuracy, efficiency, and retrieval of processed data. Proof material entered as required and generate data reports as needed.
Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks
Performs data entry using word processing, spreadsheet, or database commands and formats material as required.
Enters, revises, and/or combines materials such as numerical data and preformatted data retrieval information.
Creates data directories/subdirectories for file and report generation retrieval purposes. Maintains paper and/or electronic files of entered data.
Performs routine maintenance tasks to ensure data accuracy.
Reviews discrepancies in data received, requests clarification, or advises supervisor of issues related to data and performs data verification routines in accordance with company procedures.
Interacts with departmental and other staff on matters affecting data and publications flow.
Qualifications
Knowledge of word processing, basic spreadsheet applications, database maintenance, and a working knowledge of MS PowerPoint. Basic understanding of database entry and project management setups is preferred.
Work Requirements
Position is considered sedentary and no unusual physical requirements are necessary to perform daily tasks.
Position duties may require incumbents to lift or carry objects (up to 25 lbs.) on a non-routine basis.
