Insight Global Secret Avionics Systems Engineer in Hill Air Force Base, Utah
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Systems Engineer to support a critical Air Force mission focused on Depot Test Systems (DTS) and Automatic Test Systems (ATS). This role supports U.S. Government (USG) efforts to modernize, upgrade, and integrate test equipment and software used to repair and sustain aircraft systems and components. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a collaborative, mission‑driven environment and has experience supporting engineering efforts across system upgrades, integration, and technical documentation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Provide engineering support for multiple Depot Test Systems (DTS) and Automatic Test Systems (ATS) supporting aircraft system and component repair.
Support USG requirements to upgrade and modify existing DTS platforms and assist with the acquisition and integration of new equipment and software.
Review technical data packages (TDPs) and comprehensive technical specifications for the Automated Test Equipment Modernization (ATEM) effort, ensuring alignment with:
Applicable codes and standards
Certification requirements
Performance metrics
Desired system and product features
Document engineering findings and recommendations in technical reports in accordance with CDRLs A003, A004, A005, and A006.
Participate in a variety of program and technical meetings, including:
Kick‑off meetings
Weekly status meetings
Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Program Management Reviews (PMRs)
Design reviews
Configuration audits
Acceptance events
Support reverse engineering efforts to evaluate legacy or incomplete system documentation.
Assess technical data gaps and provide gap analysis reports and recommendations to the government in accordance with CDRL A007.
Collaborate closely with engineering teams, program management, and government stakeholders to support successful system modernization and delivery.

Skills and Requirements
Active Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related field required.
At least 5+ years of recent relevant systems engineering in aircraft avionics and/or Depot Test Systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with contracting officers and senior site leadership
Strong knowledge of requirements management, verification and validation, and configuration management.
Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering - MBSE, JIRA or DOORS
