Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer located at Hill AFB in Ogden Utahsupporting the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah. The WNR Division serves as the Air Force's technical, acquisition, and sustainment authority, delivering comprehensive and mission-critical support to the warfighter.
The division oversees a wide range of Air Force systems including Electronic Warfare, Range Systems, Air Combat Training, Command and Control Systems, Advanced Radar Threat Systems, and Combat Survivor Evader Locator systems. WNR also provides ongoing support to depot-level sustainment, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), and partners such as the U.S. Army, Navy, PACAF, ACC, AFMC, and AETC. This position supports engineering and technical management activities across the acquisition lifecycle.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Clearance: Must have and be able to maintain a Secret clearance

Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 12 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in a DoD environment
OR
15 years of directly related experience with 8 years in a DoD environment
Required Experience and Knowledge
Requirements development across production, deployment, operations, and sustainment
Architecture development and implementation
Modeling and Simulation, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles
Verification and Validation (VandV)
Technical data package development and sustainment
Configuration management principles
Network architectures, embedded systems, and application deployment across hardware platforms
Cloud deployment and virtualization environments
Familiarity with DoD acquisition processes including Technology Maturation, Risk Reduction, Engineering Manufacturing Development (EMD), and Production and Deployment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:
Master's Degree in a professional engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program with 10 years of directly related experience, including 5 years in a DoD environment
Desired Experience:
Familiarity with Electronic Warfare and/or Air Combat operations
Experience with live aircrew training and TTP development
Range infrastructure architectures and systems
Familiarity with foreign ground radar
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this Advisory and Assistance Services (AandAS) role, the Senior Systems Engineer provides expert-level engineering support to Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The role assists government leadership with systems engineering planning, execution, technical oversight, and lifecycle management to ensure compliance with program specifications and mission objectives.Position supports Foreign Military Sales (FMS) workload (FMS experience preferred but not required)

Conduct program and portfolio reviews to evaluate technical baselines, alternative plans, system designs, and test results
