Equipment Mechanic

The Town of Highlands
is seeking an experienced Equipment Mechanic reporting to the Street Department. This position involves skilled mechanical work in the repair, overhaul, and maintenance of light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. The mechanic is responsible for all phases of equipment upkeep, ensuring safety, reliability, and proper performance for the Town of Highlands operational needs.
Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment and vehicles.
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL), with air brake endorsement preferred, or the ability to obtain one shortly after hire.
