Robert Half Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager in High Point, North Carolina
Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to oversee a high-volume AP department in Greensboro, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing complex AP operations and leading a team to achieve efficiency and accuracy. This role requires someone with strong leadership skills and expertise in financial processes to support the needs of a large, multi-unit organization.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage a high-volume accounts payable department processing 10,000+ invoices monthly across multiple business units.
• Develop and implement KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to monitor and optimize the efficiency of the AP team.
• Lead a team of 8+ employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment while addressing performance gaps as needed.
• Ensure accurate coding and processing of invoices, check runs, and ACH payments in compliance with company policies.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and streamline payment processes.
• Analyze and improve existing AP workflows to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.
• Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management, ensuring transparency in AP operations.
• Train, mentor, and support team members to build a high-performing AP department.
• Oversee vendor relationships and ensure timely resolution of payment issues.
• Maintain strict adherence to accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing accounts payable in a high-volume environment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with strong people management skills.
• Expertise in coding invoices, check runs, and ACH payment processes.
• Familiarity with utilizing metrics, KPIs, and dashboards to monitor team performance.
• Strong background in accounting principles and financial operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and stakeholders.
• Experience working in a large organization with multi-unit operations is highly preferred.
