Maintenance Technician
Manufacturing Facility – Hickory, NC
Full-Time | 2nd or 3rd Shift Available
A well-established manufacturing facility in Newton, NC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support high-speed production and automation equipment in a modern industrial environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
What You’ll Do
Perform PLC troubleshooting and electrical troubleshooting on production and automation equipment
Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, and automated systems to minimize downtime
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
Support automation systems including motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, and control panels
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment
Analyze equipment downtime and implement corrective and preventive actions
Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure a clean and safe work environment
Work closely with production and maintenance teams to maximize equipment reliability and uptime
What We’re Looking For
Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
Strong skills in PLC troubleshooting, automation, and electrical systems
Ability to read and work from electrical schematics and diagrams
Mechanical troubleshooting experience on industrial or production equipment
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s degree or technical training preferred
Willingness to work overtime or off-shifts as needed to support production
Physical & Work Requirements
Medium-duty work, including lifting up to 50 lbs
Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, pushing, and pulling
Ability to work around moving equipment, forklifts, and industrial chemicals

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hickory, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
