Job Title: Electronics Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for setting up new production lines, studying and recommending improvements to existing processes, and evaluating equipment used in manufacturing processes. You will ensure documentation is completed for the qualification of newly required equipment, oversee the development of precision assembly fixtures and tooling for new product assembly, and lead design review meetings. Your role will involve collaborating with various departments to continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity through ergonomics, time studies, procedural analysis, product design/redesign, and specification of tooling, fixturing, controls, and mechanization/automation.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new production lines and recommend improvements to existing processes.

  • Evaluate and ensure documentation for qualification of new equipment.

  • Oversee the development of assembly fixtures and tooling for new product assembly.

  • Lead and actively participate in design review meetings.

  • Collaborate with departments to improve processes on the production floor and transactional processes.

  • Improve safety, quality, and productivity using various analytical techniques.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.

  • Partner with outside departments on production output improvements and troubleshooting.

  • Review new models for manufacturability and monitor pilot runs.

  • Identify and develop requirements for new product manufacturing processes and provide training.

  • Review and validate qualification plans, documentation, and new processes.

  • Monitor implementation of solutions to achieve objectives and expected benefits.

  • Create, review, and revise departmental CPs as necessary.

  • Ensure ECNs are submitted for corrections and improvements.

  • Present KPIs and create presentations for leadership.

  • Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

  • Address issues at the root cause level and implement solutions across similar products and processes.

  • Coordinate layout of production areas for optimum utilization of equipment and space.

  • Facilitate implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement events.

  • Apply design of experiments techniques and establish standards to resolve problems.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment

  • RF, Microwave, Semiconductor, PCB, or Plating experience is nice to have

  • Experience with pick-an-place and reflow ovens are nice to have

Work Environment

This position requires working onsite from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. You will be joining a team with significant tenure and mentorship opportunities, making impacts on globally distributed products. The group is involved in product lines that continue to innovate and remain at the cutting edge of technology.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hialeah, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $36.06 - $48.08/hr.
