DANSIE LAND LLC Farmworker/Laborer (Temporary) in HERRIMAN, Utah
Temporary Need: 4/15/2026 -- 12/1/2026. One (1) full-time, seasonal, temporary Farmworker/Laborer needed. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Workers must have 3 months verifiable experience.
Location: Work will be performed in Herriman, Utah.
Wage is $17.84/hour. H-2A wage: $17.84/hour.
A worker can earn bonuses and/or wage increases based on performance and length of service with the employer, this benefit is at the sole discretion of the employer.
Hours: 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri.; 8am-5pm.
The employer may offer additional work hours or these hours could increase or decrease based on weather conditions, crop delay, pests or disease, crop yield, available labor, and or productivity.
Job duties:
Worker will work in all duties to plant, cultivate, and harvest, vegetables and alfalfa. Workers will pull weeds by hand and with long handled hoes, assist with irrigation duties, shoveling, trimming and cutting stalks/vines with sharp instruments. Workers will walk fields on uneven ground and may operate tractors. In addition, workers may be required to perform variable tasks relating to crop production such as hauling (non CDL), ground preparation, cleaning and repairing farm buildings, and other tasks related to general farming.
Terms and conditions of employment: Tools, room, board, kitchen facilities and transportation provided at no cost to the worker. Employee will work outdoors in all types of weather. Must provide employment eligibility documentation (I9 verification) upon hire. The employer will provide, at no cost to the worker, Workers' Compensation coverage or private insurance which is equal to Workers' Compensation laws for comparable employment. The employer guarantees to offer the worker employment for a total number of work days equal to at least 3/4's of the total work period beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or advertised contractual first day of need. Whichever is later to occur, and ending on the expiration date specified. Employer's assurance that it will comply with regulations at 20 CFR 655.135. For workers who complete 50% or more of the work contract period, the employer must pay workers for subsistence expenses incurred traveling from the place the worker came to the place of employment. If the worker either completes the work contract period or is terminated without cause, and the worker has no immediate subsequent H-2A employment, the employer must pay workers for subsistence expenses; incurred traveling from the place of employment back to the place the worker came from to work for the employer. Receipts showing transportation charges will be required. Transportation costs will be based on the most economical common carrier or other transportation which conforms to Interstate Commerce Commission (ICC) regulations. Employer is responsible for paying inbound transportation costs in the first workweek of employment to the extent that shifting such costs to the employees(either directly or indirectly) would effectively bring their wages below the FLSA minimum wage. The worker will receive the following amount(s) for daily subsistence while traveling: minimum $16.28 per day, maximum $68.00 per day (with documentation of actual expenses). The worker must produce receipts from commercial food establishments showing the amount spent for any food and non-alcoholic beverages; including tax. The offered wage equals or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage (AWER) that is issued and determined by DOL for the time period the work is performed. This job is in connection with a future H-2A labor certification application.
