Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.
Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required (Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field).
Master’s Degree preferred. Professional Experience
Minimum 7 years of experience in Procurement, including at least 5 years in Direct Procurement roles such as:
Strategic Sourcing Analyst
Commodity Manager / Category Manager
Category Buyer
Demonstrated experience managing commodities such as:
Fabricated metals
Fasteners
Die casting components
Industry experience:
Electronics industry (required)
Automotive industry (preferred) Category & Supplier Management
Proven experience working as a Category Manager, Commodity Manager, Strategic Sourcing Specialist, or Category Buyer (Must Have – minimum 7 years)
Strong capabilities in Supplier Management (Must Have) Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with SPC/Statistical Tools
Experience with SAP (Must Have)
Experience with Contract Management (Must Have)
Demonstrated competence in Cost & Savings Analysis (Must Have) Soft Skills & Core Competencies
Strong analytical and negotiation skills
Strategic mindset with excellent communication abilities
High intercultural competence and adaptability to collaborate with teams across multiple regions
Ability to negotiate with internal stakeholders and management teams Language Requirements
English: Required (Must Have) – strong communication capabilities Travel & Legal Requirements
Valid U.S. Visa is mandatory (Must Have) Travel: 10%-25%Location: Remote-México / Hybrid - Hermosillo.#Remote
