Field Research Assistant Shift: 6:00 AM -- 2:30 PM Pay: $20 per hour Hours will vary during harvest with OT required. Our client is seeking a Field Research Assistant to join their team. As a Research Assistant, you will be part of the Field Operations Teams supporting research operations. The ideal candidate will have reliability, communication skills and adaptability to align successfully in the organization.
* What's the Job?*
- Assist with field research operations such as planting, weeding, data collection, and detasseling crew leadership.
- Support seed production activities throughout the season, including field checks and roguing.
- Coordinate closely with the Agronomy Supervisor and Area Specialists on daily tasks.
- Operate field equipment as needed and assist with harvest processes (husking, drying, conditioning) if the position extends into harvest season.
What's Needed?
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work outdoors in inclement weather (hot, cold, windy).Must be able to follow both verbal and written instructions.
- Comfortable working independently and within a team.
- Footwear requirements: ankle-support shoes for field work; steel-toe boots for warehouse tasks.
