Health Advocates Network is hiring a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist with 1 year of recent experience! This is a full-time contract position at a nationally recognized hospital located in _ Hermiston , OR._
· Pay Rate: $74.91 / hour
· Shift: night - 3x12
· Start Date: 4/27/26
· Contract Length: 3 months
CT Tech and Xray tech position. 50/50 between Cannon CT and Xray. Must be willing to float to do Xrays up to half of the time.
Hours: 7:00 pm - 7:00 am NIGHTS.
Provides health care services by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Performs computed tomography and related procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by, or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Performs computed tomography to obtain diagnostic sectional images for interpretation by a licensed practitioner.
Essential Job Functions:
Performs diagnostic radiography procedures
Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, assuring information is documented and available for use by a licensed practitioner.
Prepares patient for procedures; provides instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
Selects and operates radiography equipment and associated devices to achieve desired results.
Positions patient and equipment to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
Immobilizes patients as required for appropriate examination.
Determines radiographic technique exposure factors, minimizing exposure to patient and others.
Evaluates images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded.
Verifies informed consent for, and assists a licensed practitioner with, interventional procedures.
Practices aseptic techniques as necessary.
Assumes responsibility for provision of physical and emotional needs of patients during procedures.
In agreement with state statute(s) and/or where institutional policy permits prepares, identifies, and/or administers contrast media and/or medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner.
Initiates basic life support action when necessary.
Assists licensed practitioner with Fluoroscopic and specialized interventional radiography procedures.
Agency nurses will be floated to other departments where they are qualified to perform patient care before core staff is floated.
Computed Tomography specific duties
Operates Computed Tomographic equipment and accessories.
Selects appropriate program for the desired protocol.
Understands methods and is capable of performing venipunctures.
Evaluates images for technical quality, manipulates display parameters, assuring proper identification.
Maintains archival storage of digitized data as appropriate.
Maintains knowledge of and observes Universal precautions.
Provides patient education.
Completed Computed tomography skills check by CT advanced user.
Skills check to cover: Head, Spine, Chest, abdominal and pelvis anatomy and safe contrast usage.
Additionally
The employee supports the hospital mission, vision, values, policies, and procedures.
Participates in required education for DNV programs as applicable to position (reference program education curriculum).
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education
Required: Associate or bachelor s degree from Radiologic Technology accredited program.
Preferred: NA
Licenses/ certifications/ registrations
Required: OBMI and ARRT registered CT technologist, Current BLS certification
Preferred: CRASE training. If travel assignment extends beyond a 6-month period, CRASE training will be required
Certifications:BLS - required
Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Qualification and Requirements:
· Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
· 1+ years’ CT work experience
· An active, current state license
· American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS for Heath Care Providers
· Additional certifications may be required.
