Assembler Technician (Trainee, Level 1, 2 and 3)
Build world-class general aviation aircraft as an Assembler Technician! DIRECT HIRE positions are available at all levels, from entry-level Trainees to experienced Level 3 technicians. No prior assembly experience required for trainee level—just a willingness to learn and grow. Eligible applicants may receive a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Job Details
Location: Hermantown/Duluth, MN
Pay Range: $20.00 – $26.50 per hour, based on experience/technician level (Plus 12% weekend shift differential for weekends)
Schedule Options:
First Shift: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Overtime as required)
Weekend Shift: Friday to Sunday, 5:00 AM – 5:30 PM (12 hours/day, 12% differential; Overtime as required)
Weekend shift employees will train and work on a weekday schedule for 2-3 months before moving to weekends.
Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 (eligibility guidelines apply)

Key Responsibilities (vary by level):
Assemble, inspect, and install aircraft components, sub-assemblies, and composite parts
Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
Install rivets, screws, bolts, and hardware using appropriate tools
Route wires, cables, and tubing
Mix and apply adhesives, resins, and sealants per instructions
Maintain a clean, organized workstation
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (may include respirator)
Accurately document build instructions and any defects
Troubleshoot systems (senior levels)
Mentor and train other technicians (Level 3)
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED required for all levels
Entry-Level (Trainee/Level 1): No experience required; one year related experience preferred
Level 2: Minimum two years’ related experience in manufacturing, automotive, aviation, or similar fields
Level 3: Minimum five years’ related experience with ability to train and mentor others
Strong attention to detail, integrity, teamwork, reliability, and adaptability
Ability to read blueprints and measure precisely
Familiarity with basic tools and proper tool selection
Experience in assembly, mechanical trades, carpentry, construction, plumbing, manufacturing, or military aircraft maintenance roles preferred
