Job Description Summary
We are seeking a Service Engineering Specialist to play a key role in ensuring the serviceability of both existing and new medical devices. In this position, you will have the opportunity to modify service parts and documentation, provided that all outcomes meet defined quality, volume, and timeliness standards. The role is based at our site in Herlev, Denmark, and is offered as a 12‑month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of extension for the right candidate.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Roles responsible for working on serviceability of medical devices during the product life cycle. Will be part of team designing serviceability into a new medical device and maintain serviceability on existing medical devices with main deliverables such a technical service documentation. Individuals in this role participates in investigations of miscellaneous problem statements linked with service. Role understands the service vision and process and can ensure service goals for a product or business are met.
Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information, developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
Qualifications and Requirements
Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable engineering field or equivalent
Basic experience as an engineer in a medium to high manufacturing environment with direct responsibility for process and product design improvement.
Strong analytical and empirical skills to solve difficult problems.
Good communication skills in English.
Demonstrate a motivated, self-starter attitude.
