Overview
KEMIN ANIMAL NUTRITION AND HEALTH – EMENA is searching Electromechanical Technical Support Trainee to join our team in Herentals, Belgium.
We are seeking a motivatedElectromechanical Technical Support Traineeto join ourKemin Application Solutions (KAS)team. KAS is responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of product application systems and the services offered to our customers.
This role begins with aone‑year traineeship, during which you will receive structured training, hands‑on learning, and close support from experienced team members. Throughout the traineeship, you will develop the technical, electromechanical, and troubleshooting skills needed to ensure the safety, reliability, and quality of automated dosing processes.
Upon successful completion of the traineeship, the role will transition into aTech Support Specialistposition, where you will independently support customers, provide technical expertise on our systems, and contribute to continuous improvement of our application solutions.

Responsibilities
During the traineeship, you willlearn to:
Provide day‑to‑day technical support to Field Service Engineers
Troubleshoot and repair systems and components, including warranty and trial units
Assist in manufacturing and functional testing of applicators before shipment
Support the design, configuration, and optimization of industrial processes
Contribute to drafting P&IDs, electrical schematics, user manuals, and installation guides
Participate in training initiatives and skill development within the KAS team
Monitor competitor activities and share relevant insights
Foster a collaborative and positive team environment
Customer Focus
During the traineeship, you willsupport senior specialists to:
Minimize applicator downtime through effective technical assistance
Ensure strong customer satisfaction through clear communication and problem‑solving
Prepare documentation outlining technical solutions and pricing
Respond to customer and Sales Team inquiries with accurate technical information
Recommend suitable solutions based on customer needs and product capabilities
Maintain accurate customer records using CMMS software
Continuous Improvement
Throughout the program, you willdevelop the capabilities to:
Stay informed about new products, features, and industry trends
Contribute to the development of new dosing systems and specialty applications
Support the design and implementation of quality control procedures and risk assessments
Conduct and report quality checks on incoming goods and materials
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electro‑mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline
Solid academic background in one or more of the following areas:
Electro‑mechanical systems
Measurement and control technology
Processing engineering
Recent graduates or early‑career professionals are encouraged to apply
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and mechanical schematics
Basic experience through studies, internships, or projects in troubleshooting equipment or conducting system-level tests
Strong analytical mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to technical challenges
Professional Skills
Highly organized with a structured approach to managing tasks
Detail-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Fluency in English; additional languages are an asset
Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-paced environments and willing to engage in field-related tasks as needed
