Your role and responsibilities
The SAP Security is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security configurations across a broad range of SAP solutions. This role ensures the protection of business data, supports compliance requirements, and enables secure business operations. The analyst works closely with functional, technical, cybersecurity, audit, and compliance teams to manage security across the SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
• Configure and maintain SAP security roles, profiles, and authorization objects across multiple SAP platforms and modules.
• Monitor, analyze, and resolve security issues within SAP applications and integrated systems.
• Administer user access, including account provisioning, role assignments, and periodic access reviews.
• Support SAP GRC Access Control processes, including access risk analysis, emergency access management, role design, and workflows.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define, implement, and document security requirements.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory frameworks.
• Participate in SAP security projects, system upgrades, migrations, and new implementations.
• Maintain and enforce SoD (Segregation of Duties) rules and risk mitigation strategies.
• Create and maintain SAP security procedures, standards, and documentation.
• Identify and remediate SAP security vulnerabilities and apply necessary configuration or patch updates.
Required technical and professional expertise
• 4 years of experience with SAP security administration across multiple SAP solutions.
• Knowledge of SAP authorization concepts, role design methodologies, and user lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP GRC Access Control.
• Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., SOX, GDPR).
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred technical and professional experience
• SAP security or GRC certifications.
• 5 years of experience with cloud‑based SAP solutions, example: (SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP BTP).
• Familiarity with identity management tools, authentication protocols, or single sign‑on technologies.
• Background in cybersecurity or IT risk management.
