Aerotek 2nd Shift Assembler in Henrico, Virginia

Job Title: Assembler (2nd Shift)

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and skilled Assembler to join our team. This role involves the assembly of units using hand and power tools, while ensuring adherence to quality standards. The position initially requires training on the 1st shift for a few weeks before transitioning to the regular 2nd shift schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble components using hand and power tools.

  • Utilize computer screens to access job lists, detailing units to be assembled and required parts and tools.

  • Ensure high standards of hygiene and safety to support production lines across various industries.

  • Maintain quality control through mechanical assembly and blueprint reading.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools.

  • Experience in mechanical assembly and quality control.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required within a year of permanent conversion (company offers GED program).

  • Physical ability to lift 50lbs+ (40lbs+ independently), climb, stand, and use equipment for extended periods.

  • Regularly walk, sit, and reach for extended periods.

Work Environment

The work environment features a large, organized manufacturing floor with clearly labeled sections. The first shift operates from 6 AM to 2:30 PM, with potential overtime until 4:30 PM. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Henrico, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $20.75/hr.
