Hendricks Community Hospital Association is seeking a qualified individual to join our team!
Position Highlights
Responsible for the maintenance and repairs of facilities and assets including, but not limited to, buildings, grounds and machines.
Starting wage of $20.00 an hour
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school degree required.
Must possess the ability to learn the operation and/or repairs of specialized equipment.
Must possess overall knowledge of building and equipment maintenance.
Must possess good communication skills, both written and oral to communicate effectively.
Good interpersonal skills.
Must possess good organizational skills with the ability to organize.
Requires analytical skills and the ability to analyze and evaluate problems.
Should be able to use common sense and be a fair judge of character.
Good leadership, initiative, and judgment skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND SPECIAL CHARACTERISTICS :
Moderate to heavy physical work.
Ability to exercise independent judgment skills and maintain emotional stability under stress.
Flexibility to handle changing situations and emergency needs.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITY AND RESPONSIBILITY :
Responsible for maintenance, construction and repair of buildings.
Check and read all gauges, thermometers, water glass gauges on boilers daily.
Investigate mechanical breakdowns and failures of machinery to determine cause and prevent recurrence by a preventative maintenance program.
Maintain weather protection for the plans throughout the year along with fire protection.
Analyze boiler water and condenser water for the prevention of scales and corrosion.
Operation of planned repair and construction program—motor power, air conditioning, heating and minor building changes.
Maintenance of adequate stock of miscellaneous supplies such as light bulbs, salt, plumbing, and electrical parts.
Repairing emergency breakdowns in the shortest possible time.
Answering night calls and pages.
Giving priority to work that is urgently needed.
