Job Title: Environmental Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager who can confidently navigate complex environmental and regulatory challenges. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong initiative, able to work independently, and keep abreast of changes in regulations and their potential impact on the facility. This position requires excellent oral and written communication skills and proficiency in key software tools, including Microsoft Office, NDEP, and EPA reporting platforms.
Responsibilities
Monitor air, water, and solid waste discharge to ensure compliance with permit requirements and environmental regulations.
Inspect pollution control devices for accuracy and efficiency.
Prepare and update permit applications and submit periodic reports to ensure compliance and continuance of operating permits.
Analyze environmental data and prepare comprehensive reports.
Act as a liaison with other departments and organizations, both internal and external to the facility.
Provide guidance in analyzing or performing complex procedures and make recommendations for improving environmental control activities.
Support construction and utility projects, ensuring work plans and closure reports comply with the Nevada Environmental Response Trust (NERT) Site Management Plan (SMP).

Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and permit requirements for pollution levels affecting air, land, and water.

Working knowledge of federal regulations and requirements.
Project leadership skills.
Working knowledge of chemical engineering for designing and modifying pollution control equipment.

Work Environment
The role requires attending meetings and responding to emergency situations outside of normal working hours. The work environment may occasionally involve exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances found in an inorganic chemical processing facility, as well as working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Henderson, NV.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
Benefits that commence on date of hire including, medical, dental, vision, 401(k), vacation, and 10 paid holidays per year. PTO leave also available after 90 days.
Workplace Type
This is a fully onsite position in Henderson,NV.
