Position Title: Athletic Facilities Coordinator School/Division: Facilities Rentals Staff (division) Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time Description: Hofstra University, an NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Colonial Athletic Association, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the full-time, 12-month position of Athletics Facilities Coordinator. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities, the Athletics Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for all facets of day to day activities associated with the management of preparing and breaking down a facility pre and post use by athletic teams and events. Candidates must be willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and the NCAA . This position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Technical setup and breakdown of all athletic facilities events. Hire staff for all events and supervise students working athletic facilities events. Oversee a staff of lifeguards. Monitor chemical balance of Olympic size swimming pool. Open and close the Hofstra pool and indoor practice facility. General office duties and other duties as assigned by the Senior Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 0-2 years' experience in related field Excellent organizational skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications: Sport event management and/or pool operations management. Knowledge or previous experiences with organizing and planning team fundraising events, clinics, and alumni engagement events.
