Role Purpose

The Cleaning & Packaging Team Leader provides frontline leadership to production operations, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient execution of all manufacturing activities. This role is responsible for guiding a team of operators, enabling flawless daily performance, and fostering a culture of safety, quality, process discipline, and continuous improvement. The Team Leader aligns people, resources, and processes to meet production targets while developing talent, strengthening teamwork, and supporting Corning's operational excellence standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shift operations to achieve production goals.
  • Provide focus and direction to production employees.
  • Manage resources (people, materials, equipment) to optimize throughput and quality.
  • Balance production with validation runs, equipment upgrades, process improvements and maintenance activities.
  • Meet all safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
  • Create and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Build a culture of process discipline and change management.
  • Track and report production metrics.
  • Develop staffing and training plans for production operators.
  • Build effective relationships with operators and support groups.
  • Perform employee performance reviews. Administer feedback and recognition when appropriate.
  • Onboard and train production workforce, achieving maximum workforce flexibility.

Work Hours

  • Ability to work 12-hour shift on a 2-3-2 rotating schedule alternating day/night to night/day every two weeks.
  • Flexible hours may be required to support weekend/evenings operations requirements (including coverage for shift supervisors on 12hr shift rotation as needed).

Education & Experience
