Schedule:Tuesday - Friday; Evenings/Overnight Route; 8:00 PM StartHome Daily
Requirements: CDL Class A
PURPOSE OF POSITION:This position is responsible for the transport products between our warehouse locations. This Driver may also be responsible for local brewery pickups as directed as well as any possible equipment swaps/changes between locations.
RESPONSIBILTIES
Essential Functions:
Safely and efficiently delivers products to Western Montana warehouses using company truck, forklift, pallet jack, ride on jack, and hand truck.
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety programs.
Pick crossdock kegs to be shipped to warehouses for deliveries the next day.
Collect/pick up empty containers for return to warehouse.
Route Responsibilities/Company Guidelines:
Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspection of assigned vehicle and complete pre-trip/post-trip report; distribute as directed.
Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations.
Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in all areas of responsibility to ensure quality of work.
Show sound judgment, decision-making, and accountability.
Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
Adhere to all applicable Federal, state, and local regulations regarding the merchandising of alcoholic beverages.
Maintain a valid Montana Commercial driver’s license and keep an insurable driving record.
Does not abuse equipment and maintain company property such as Company vehicles.
Perform any other tasks assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.
Implements ways for the warehouse and company to improve efficiency, quality, and service.
Maintain and protect all property and keep in excellent condition.
Requirements
QUALIFICAITONS and KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILTIES (KSAs)
Any combination equivalent to the following education and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities would qualify. A typical way to obtain the knowledge, skills and abilities would be:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current Class A CDL and DOT medical card required.
Previous delivery experience. Grocery/retail/beverage experience a plus.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, vendors, other governmental agencies, and the public as appropriate.
Ability to manage own route and delegate effectively.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Good customer service skills.
Ability to work on own initiative and independently with good time management.
Ability to handle wide range of tasks.
Understand and effectively communicate Summit Beverage's organizational mission and goals.
PHSYICAL and OTHER REQUIREMENTS:This position requires a minimum of four 10-hour days Tuesday – Friday. The shifts, end times, and total hours worked may vary depending on the season and quantity of deliveries, sometimes exceeding 10 hours.
Seeing: Must be able to read reports and use computer/table/office equipment. Must be able to read and interpret documentation.75-100% of time.
Hearing: Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts. Must be aware of environment when driving.75-100% of time.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat wet and/or humid conditions while working and traveling between customer accounts. Employees may be exposed to continual movement or vibration while operating the company vehicle. The employee frequently works near moving mechanical equipment (i.e. forklift/lift gates). The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Salary Description
$24-$27/hour, DOE
